Vertical integration mapping of self-potential in the Escanaba Trough (Central Hill)
This data release contains self-potential (SP) electric field data measured from about 65 meters above the seafloor located at the Escanaba Trough, Central Hill, in the northeast Pacific Ocean. These data were collected using a redundant quasi-three component electric field sensors carried by the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) Sentry during an expedition to the Escanaba Trough in the northeast Pacific Ocean in 2022 (USGS Field Activity 2022-621-FA). A SP map was computed by taking a spatial integral of the gridded vertical electric field data. These data are available as a GeoTIFF float32 file.
