    • Soil Moisture for Western Russia and The Ukraine

    This dataset, DSI-6411 is comprised of soil moisture data and the accompanying information for the agricultural regions of Western Russia (west of ~ 60E) and The Ukraine for the period from 1992 to 1996. These data are collected routinely for agro-meteorological monitoring of these two countries and serve as an input for the in-situ assessment of the state of the major crops.

    Licence Due to communication problems, some operational information from remote locations in Russia did not reach the regional meteorological office in time to participate in the monitoring. In this case it was lost and was not included in the data set. This situation never occurred with the Ukrainian data, where the missing data always means that no observation has been made.
    Lineage Data are raw and observed by Russian and Ukrainian stations.
