This data set contains sewage pollution data in the form of in situ measurements and deductions produced in the laboratory from in field samples. The original files as provided to the National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI) are Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Redundant copies of the original files are made available by NCEI in comma-separated value (CSV) format. The data collection was performed along the Puako and South Kohalao shoreline of Hawaii Island within nearshore and inland areas primarily within 2014-2017 though select data were collected as early as 2007. The project was funded through the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program, Puako Community Foundation, Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Division of Aquatic Resources, University of Hawaii at Hilo, and the National Science Foundation's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU).
