    Louisville Metro Open Data Policy

    This policy applies to all Louisville Metro Government (LMG) departments and their personnel. Target audiences for this policy include government departments and partner organizations across the public, nonprofit and private sectors, and members of the public who are interested in or have a specific use for government data. The objectives of this policy are to ensure that all LMG data is: Discoverable and usable. Managed Effectively. Open by default and protected where required. Prioritized and proactively published. Subject to public input. 

    This policy is reviewed by the Open Data Policy Group, and updated as needed, every year.  The Open Data Management Team as part of the Metro Technology Services department, oversees Louisville's Open Data Program and works with the Open Data Policy Group.
