    NLETS increases the effectiveness of the E-Verify program by providing electronic document verification from the state DMVs, through the Department of Homeland Security, and onto the E-Verify end user. NLETS will provide employers, using the E-Verify system, the capability to verify the driver license and/or ID card of their new hires, issued by the US jurisdictions. This will help meet the program objective to maintain a legal US workforce.
