This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected during the R/V Marion Dufrense CLIVAR Repeat Section A12_2008 cruise (EXPOCODE 35MF20080207) in the South Atlantic Ocean from 2008-02-07 to 2008-03-24. These data include ALKALINITY, AMMONIUM, CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-113 (CFC-113), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), Carbon tetrachloride (CCL4), DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, PHOSPHATE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SILICATE, WATER TEMPERATURE and pH. The instruments used to collect these data include Alkalinity titrator, CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement, Spectrophotometer for pH measurement and bottle. These data were collected by Mario Hoppema of Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), Sabrina Speich of UBO; European Institute for Marine Studies (IUEM), Melchor González-Dávila of Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), and Bruno Delille of University Liege as part of the CLIVAR_A12_35MF20080207 dataset. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
