An ex vivo study of the effects on the human gut microbiota of extracts derived from black cumin seed, turmeric root, and Ceylon cinnamon bark. Data collected following 48-hour incubations include: shotgun metagenomic DNA sequencing, biomass (cell counts), short-chain fatty acid concentrations, gas and pH. These measures and donor metadata are in this dataset with sample IDs linking to sequencing data housed in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive associated with BioProject PRJNA961974.
