Arrest Data from 2020 to 4/30/2025

Metadata Updated: March 8, 2026

**Notice: Transition to NIBRS-Compliant Arrest Data Reporting The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has completed its transition from the legacy Records Management System, which reported crime and arrest data under Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) standards, to a modernized system fully aligned with the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). This effort is part of LAPD’s ongoing commitment to modernize data reporting and enhance transparency. We are currently developing a new NIBRS Arrest dataset to align with the NIBRS standards. As a result, the existing "Arrest Data from 2020 to 4/30/2025" dataset will no longer receive updates. It will remain available on the portal for historical reference only. Once the new NIBRS Arrest dataset is complete, it will be published on the Los Angeles Open Data Portal and refreshed on a regular schedule. Additional details will be shared as they become available. Thank you for your understanding as we work to provide more comprehensive and standardized data for the public.

On March 7th, 2024, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) adopted a new Records Management System for reporting crimes and arrests. This new system is implemented to comply with the FBI's mandate to collect NIBRS-only data (NIBRS — FBI - https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/more-fbi-services-and-information/ucr/nibrs).

This dataset reflects arrest incidents in the City of Los Angeles from 2020 to 4/30/2025. This data is transcribed from original arrest reports that are typed on paper and therefore there may be some inaccuracies within the data. Some location fields with missing data are noted as (0.0000°, 0.0000°). Address fields are only provided to the nearest hundred block in order to maintain privacy. This data is as accurate as the data in the database. Please note questions or concerns in the comments.
