WBT Water Column Sonar Data Collected During AnnikaMarie2023
The study is designed to understand how bowhead whale distributions on the Beaufort Shelf are impacted by availability of their plankton prey (krill, copepods) along their migration route. A 3-week field observation was conducted in Aug-Sep of 2022 and 2023 on the Beaufort Shelf to assess the availability of plankton prey, especially krill, for the bowhead whales.
