    The water depth and temperature data was collected as part of Global Temperature- Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP) from over a dozen ships by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and Australian Oceanographic Data Center, Potts point, New South Wales, Australia. The data was collected from January 24, 1994 to December 16, 1994. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data file was submitted by Mr. Andrew L. Walsh in GTSPP format RAN/RNZN via FTP.
