Bathythermograph (XBT) data from ACANIA, ENTERPRISE, and others in the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and others from 1971-05-06 to 1991-10-28 (NCEI Accession 9000227)

The data in this accession was collected over twenty years in forty different cruises conducted between May 1971 and October 1991. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the US Navy. One box of these stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC by Mr. Steven Paul of Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center, Monterey CA. The XBT data from these stripcharts have been digitized and is present in the current NODC data storage system in C116 file format.
