Bathythermograph (XBT) data from BARGE, CHICAGO, and others in the Andaman Sea or Burma Sea, Arabian Sea, and others from 1976-11-05 to 1990-09-28 (NCEI Accession 9000247)

The data in this accession was collected during 46 cruises from 26 different ships over a period of 14 years spanning from November, 1976 and September, 1990. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center, Monterey, CA. One box of these stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC by Mr. Paul Stevens. The XBT data from these stripcharts have been digitized and is present in the current NODC data storage system in C116 file format.
