The water depth and temperature data were collected in TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) as part of Equatorial Pacific Ocean Climate Studies from NOAA Ship DISCOVERER and NOAA Ship OCEANOGRAPHER; and AIRCRAFT between July 1, 1981 and April 19, 1989. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT and AXBT) data from Acid Rain Experiments were submitted on a tape by Margie McCarty, Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, Seattle, WA. The data are now available on line in C116 (XBT) and C118 (AXBT) file format of NODC.
