Water Budget Components for Hydrogeologic Zones in the Lake Huron Watershed
This child item provides the components calculated for the water budget of each of the hydrogeologic zones in the Lake Huron Basin. Precipitation was assumed to be the sole input to the water budget while indirect groundwater discharge to Lake Huron, direct shoreline discharge, evapotranspiration, and runoff were the outputs in the water budget. Each component of the water budget was calculated using preexisting models and datasets. The input datasets are cited in the metadata of this child item but are not provided in this data release, except for one. The one source dataset that was included is the base flow separation of USGS streamgages from 1980 to 2022. This child item includes the daily streamflow and daily calculated base flow values for the associated gages as well as shapefiles of the gaging locations, the full watershed of each gage, and the incremental watershed between the respective gage and any upstream gages.
