FY 2017 Congressional Action— On April 28, 2017, the President signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, (P.L. 115-31) making appropriations for most Federal Agencies through September 30, 2017. On December 10, 2016, the President signed the Further Continuing and Security Assistance Appropriation Act, 2017 (P.L. 114-254), providing funding for the Department of Education and other Federal Departments through April 28, 2017. Under the terms of (P.L. 114-254) a 0.1901 percent across-the-board reduction is applied to discretionary budget authority.
