Tribal Community Resilience: Liaison Directory

Metadata Updated: September 4, 2025

The Tribal comunity resilience liaisons are a multi-regional support network to assist Tribes in addressing science-based needs available to them at Department of the Interior's Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASC), for improved adaptation planning efforts. Tribal climate resilience liaisons technically assist Tribal Nations and Alaska Native Villages in response to specific, yet diverse challenges faced from increasing environmental hazards and extreme weather events. Tribal liaisons serve as extension agents, facilitating research, linking Tribal needs to available resources, and coordinating trainings, workshops, forums and exchanges. The CASC network is comprised of the National CASC (NCASC) and nine regional CASCs, covering the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawai'i, the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands, and the U.S. Caribbean. Each regional CASC is based out of a host university in their region and is comprised of multi-institution consortia including university and non-university partners. This directory was designed as a to be a tool to help locate and contact CASC liaisons located throughout the United States. The reference map is also designed to reflect the general locations of BIA regional and agency offices and tribal government headquarters. The locations of tribal and federal offices shown in this map viewer are not to be used for legal purposes, and the BIA does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
