This report presents results from the Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) for 2006 and trend data for 1996-2006. The report provides information on the demographic and substance abuse characteristics of the 1.8 million people admitted to treatment for abuse of alcohol and/or drugs in 2006 to facilities that report to individual state administrative data systems.
