This dataset includes discrete measurements and profile observations of total alkalinity, pH on total scale, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and nutrients during the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer the Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling (SOCCOM) project, NBP1701, HazMat cruise (EXPOCODE 320620161224) in the Southern Ocean from 2016-12-24 to 2017-01-20. SOCCOM project is a large scale National Science Foundation funded research project based at Princeton University that started in September 2014. The project aims to increase the understanding of the Southern Ocean and the role it plays in factors such as climate, as well as educate new scientists with oceanic observation.
