This dataset provides data on vessel dwell times for tanker and liquid bulk ships at major United States ports from January 2019 through June 2023. Dwell time—defined as the total time a vessel spends within port limits (from arrival at the berth/anchorage to departure)—is a critical metric for evaluating port efficiency, supply chain fluidity, and maritime congestion.
