Data are from a 1991 report prepared by AECOS, Inc. for the Government of American Samoa, the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources, American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency, and American Samoa Coastal Management Program. The data set is supplemental data included in a study of Pago Pago Harbor, American Samoa, by AECOS 1991 to be used for comparison. The purpose of the American Samoa data was to determine whether toxic chemical compounds could be detected in the marine environment of the harbor and provide a preliminary assessment of the extent of the contamination and the risk to public health. The Apra Harbor data are from 1974.
