The survey used in this study was replicated from the surveys that were previously developed, validated, and used by UN Women. The survey was conducted with women and men who were between 14 and 59 years of age from rural and urban areas, public servants working in the comprehensive assistance system, and women users of this same route. The objective of this survey was to collect information from various population groups about what people do or think, the cultural factors related to gender roles, the acceptance of violence against women, the practices, and behaviors of control over women, and the institutional response to violent situations. The study conducted 8,692 surveys with the population between 14 and 59 years old in 59 municipalities located in 14 Planes de Desarrollo con Enfoque Territorial (PDET) regions and two capital cities in one non-PDET region. There were 77 questions.
