SUMMARY This is a geospatial dataset of the storm drains throughout most of the City as maintained by SF Public Utilities Commission Wastewater Enterprise. This dataset was originally posted to facilitate the Adopt A Drain program. The catch basin data is collected by SF Public Works Hydraulics Engineering and SFPUC Wastewater Enterprise, Collection System Division engineers, drafters and operators. The data is collected from sewer reference and construction documents and field surveys. You can learn more about how the City's wastewater collection system works here: https://www.sfpuc.gov/ B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED This dataset was derived from the SFPUC Wastewater GIS asset infrastructure registry. C. UPDATE PROCESS The dataset updates daily. D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET Please note that this dataset does not intend to be representative of all drains throughout the City.
