State of Iowa Salary Book, FY 2019
The dataset contains the name, gender, county or city of residence (when possible), official title, total salary received during each fiscal year, base salary for the employee, and traveling and subsistence expense reimbursed to state personnel in Fiscal Year 2019. A status of "TERMINATED" in the column providing the base salary does not indicate that the employee was fired, only that the person no longer works in that position.
Some employees may show up multiple times where they were employed by more than one department during the fiscal year, reflecting their total salary paid twice. The dataset contains information on personnel from all state government departments, boards, commissions, institutions, and Regents institutions (e.g. ISU, UNI and U of I) unless personnel receive an annual salary of less than one thousand dollars. Community Based Corrections officers and State Fair Board members are not included in the dataset.
