S&T Project 23065: CAD Models of prototyped panels

Published by Bureau of Reclamation | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: June 06, 2026 at 09:25 PM | Dataset Last Updated: June 04, 2026 at 10:39 PM
This dataset contains four CAD files in .STP format representing the geometry of a roof panel analyzed during the evaluation of advanced manufacturing methods for reproducing legacy roof panels at the Morrow Point Powerplant. Each file consists of .STP file imported or originally created in Inventor and exported as a .STEP file for file transfer. Together, these files document the reverse engineering process in generating a printable surface for roof panel patches. "Morrow Point Roof Panel Solid Full" represents the full half sized panel with an arched spine and holes for hardware. This model was created by taking the polygonal model (.IGES) file into Inventor and exporting it as a .STEP file. "Full size no holes' is the same as "Morrow Point Roof Panel Solid Full" without holes for hardware. This is the model that was used to generate the incremental sheet forming. Holes were patched in the scanning software Polyworks. "10x20 consistent' is a patch sized model with idealized corrugation geometry. This model was printed as v2.0 referenced in the report. "Full size panel No Curve" is a full sized panel without the spine curve on it. This model was used to generate the 10x20 patch size. It uses idealized geometry extracted from the original scan cross-section.
