SNOE Daily Averages of Nitric Oxide (NO) Density in Geomagnetic Bins

Published by SPDF | National Aeronautics and Space Administration | Catalog Last Checked: August 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM | Dataset Last Updated: August 18, 2026
This level 4 data set from the Student Nitric Oxide Explorer (SNOE) ultraviolet spectrometer (UVS) contains daily averages of nitric oxide (NO) density for the altitudes range 96.6 to 150 km as deduced from the UVS count rates ([0, 1] gamma band; 237 nm). Averaging was done in geomagnetic coordinates in a 38x18 array, using bins of 5 degree (geomagnetic) latitude and 3.3 km altitude.
