Smoothed Seismicity Rates for the 2025 USGS National Seismic Hazard Model for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
This dataset contains the smoothed seismicity rates used in the 2025 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Model for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The rates are a joint distribution of the Gutenberg-Richter b-value and earthquake rate and are presented as that joint distribution, as a distribution of rates as a function of magnitude, and are compared to observed earthquake rates as a function of magnitude.
