    Lineage Sea-Bird Seasoft Seasave software (on the ship's survey computer) acquires, converts, and displays real-time raw data from the Sea-Bird CTD unit. Files are saved in raw .hex format (with associated .con, .hdr, .mrk, and .bl files) and processed .cnv format. Coverted data are exported as ASCII files and then imported into an Excel spreadsheet template. There is a separate cast log file (.xls) for each cast that lists details about the cast (time, location, speed, conditions) and a table that lists each measurement at various depths.
