SFO Ground Trip Counts by Month and Permit Type
A. SUMMARY
A summary of SFO International ground transportation trips by permit type and month. Includes the revenue and number of trips for each month and type.
B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED
The dataset originates from GTU source systems, where the raw data is initially ingested and stored in Amazon RDS. It is then transformed and standardized through an ETL pipeline, and subsequently loaded into Snowflake, where it is structured and optimized for reporting and analytics consumption.
C. UPDATE PROCESS
The dataset is updated in real time as users create or modify records through the application. Changes are processed using an upsert mechanism, ensuring that new records are inserted and existing records are updated accordingly.
D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET
This dataset is used to analyze ground transportation permit types, including their usage and associated revenue. It enables users to monitor performance across different permit categories and supports operational and financial reporting.
