These data describe detections of environmental DNA (eDNA) of eight species of salamanders including Eurycea cirrigera, Gyrinophilus porphyriticus, Desmognathus fuscus, Desmognathus monticola, Desmognathus welteri, Plethodon richmondi, Eurycea longicauda, and Cryptobranchus alleganiensis in water samples collected from sites in the Buckhorn Creek watershed in eastern Kentucky, USA. “This research dataset has been reviewed in accordance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Research and Development, and approved for release. Mention of brand names or vendors does not constitute an endorsement of products or services by the U.S. EPA.”"
