Regularized horizontal integration mapping of self-potential in the Escanaba Trough (Central Hill)

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Catalog Last Checked: August 09, 2026 at 11:25 PM | Dataset Last Updated: July 28, 2026 at 12:00 AM
This data release contains self-potential (SP) electric field data measured from about 65 meters above the seafloor located at the Escanaba Trough, Central Hill, in the northeast Pacific Ocean. These data were collected using a redundant, quasi-three-component electric field sensors carried by the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) Sentry during an expedition to the Escanaba Trough in the northeast Pacific Ocean in 2022 (USGS Field Activity 2022-621-FA). A SP map (potential) was computed using regularized inversion of the horizontal electric field data. These data are available as a GeoTIFF float32 file.
