Published by Data Hub Administration | State of Iowa | Catalog Last Checked: August 01, 2026 at 06:12 AM | Dataset Last Updated: July 15, 2026 at 09:04 AM
This dataset provides quarterly real gross domestic product for Iowa beginning CY 2018 Qtr 1 as provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Table SQGDP9. The data include breakdowns of industries' contributions based on the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Quarterly estimates are presented as an annualized rate. Gross domestic product (GDP) is the value of all final goods and services produced in Iowa in a particular period of time. It serves as a comprehensive measure of the state's economy. "Real" or "chained" GDP numbers have been adjusted to remove the effects of inflation over time, so different periods can be compared.
