Promoting Social and Emotional Well-being: Uses and Limitations of Screening and Assessment Instruments
Presented by two national experts, this two-part webinar addresses the importance of screening and assessment in efforts to improve the well-being of children and youth. Part 1 includes an overview of evidence-informed trauma and behavioral health screening and assessment tools, including their uses and intended populations. Informed by the National Study of Child and Adolescent Well-being (NSCAW), Part 2 focuses on measuring well-being in the context of child welfare evaluations. The presenter discusses the relevance of select assessment instruments to evaluation efforts, as well as critical issues to consider when attempting to measure changes in the well-being of children and youth over time.
