Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program
The discretionary fund activities funded by the Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program are meant to develop a coordinated and integrated service system that builds on the strengths of families and communities; emphasize collaborative approaches, early identification of issues and the delivery of prevention, intervention and support services; prevent child abuse and neglect, protect children from further abuse, and promote permanency for children within their own families or with kinship or adoptive families; and strengthen families and remove barriers to child safety, permanency and well-being.
