Projected groundwater emergence and shoaling along the U.S. North Eastern coasts

Published by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | Catalog Last Checked: May 06, 2026 at 12:37 AM | Dataset Last Updated: December 04, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Groundwater emergence and shoaling extents are derived from water table depth GeoTIFFs, which are calculated as steady-state groundwater model heads subtracted from high-resolution topographic digital elevation model (DEM) land surface elevations. Results are provided as image services of water table depth in specific depth ranges (lt 0 m, 0 m, 1 m, 2 m, 3-5 m, gt 5 m). Scenarios include: Kzell0p1_slr0p00m, Kzell0p1_slr0p25m, Kzell0p1_slr0p50m, Kzell0p1_slr1p00m, Kzell0p1_slr1p50m, Kzell0p1_slr2p00m, Kzell0p1_slr2p50m, Kzell0p1_slr3p00m, Kzell1_slr0p00m, Kzell1_slr0p25m, Kzell1_slr0p50m, Kzell1_slr1p00m, Kzell1_slr1p50m, Kzell1_slr2p00m, Kzell1_slr2p50m, Kzell1_slr3p00m, Kzell10_slr0p00m, Kzell10_slr0p25m, Kzell10_slr0p50m, Kzell10_slr1p00m, Kzell10_slr1p50m, Kzell10_slr2p00m, Kzell10_slr2p50m, Kzell10_slr3p00m.
