Plumbing Permits (legacy system)
Data note: Data for plumbing permits submitted on the PermitSF portal from September 14, 2026 and onward can be found in the PermitSF Permitting Data. The PermitSF Permitting Dataset should be used as the primary source for plumbing permits going forward. A small number of plumbing permits may still be submitted via the legacy system in certain circumstances. Visit this link for more information on PermitSF.
SUMMARY
This data set pertains to all types of plumbing and mechanical permits submitted through San Francisco’s legacy permitting tracking system, which was upgraded for these permit types on September 14, 2026. Data includes details on application/permit numbers, job addresses, supervisorial districts, and the current status of the applications. Data is updated weekly. Users can access permit information at https://dbiweb02.sfgov.org/dbipts/.
