Phytoplankton pigment data collected from surface waters in the Lake Pontchartrain estuary, Louisiana, from November 2024 to May 2025
Monthly surface water samples were collected at sites in the Lake Pontchartrain estuary to assess the phytoplankton biomass and composition using algal pigment analysis. A total of 27 algal pigments including chlorophyll a and accessory pigments were evaluated from each of the water samples.
