This dataset provides the quarterly per capita personal income of individuals living in Iowa beginning in 1948 Qtr 1 as provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Table SQINC1, Line Code 3. Per capita personal income is seasonally adjusted at annual rates. Per capita personal income is total personal income divided by total midyear population. Population is based on U.S. Census Bureau decennial counts using the Das Gupta method to produce the intercensal population figures for the years between decennial censuses. The personal income from wages, proprietors' income, dividends, interest, rents, and government benefits. These statistics help assess and compare the economic well-being of state residents.
