Patent AT-E401129-T1: [Translated] IRRIGATION DEVICE WITH BIDIRECTIONALLY SWIVELING RACING HEAD

Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Catalog Last Checked: July 31, 2026 at 09:23 PM | Dataset Last Updated: September 06, 2025
The invention relates to a sprinkler device comprising a sprinkler head that can be pivoted bi-directionally about a pivoting axis within a limited pivoting angle range in relation to a fixed base. The invention provides safety precautions for preventing the sprinkler head or an adjusting device from being forcibly rotated. According to one precaution, an actuating element (BE) is coupled to the adjusting device that defines the pivoting angle range, to commutate a drive device in such a way that said actuating element (BE) lies in a recess (MA) of the adjusting device during normal operation, undergoes commutation displacements and can be released from the recess (MA) by manual rotation of the adjusting device in a non-destructive, reversible manner. The actuating element (BE) is preferably a spring-steel wire. Another safety precaution relates to a particularly advantageous configuration for a torque overload-protection device.
