Patent AT-E401000-T1: [Translated] SMOKE POT
The smoke pot, containing a powder charge (4) and an igniter, consists of an outer support (2) for an inner container (1) that holds the charge and has an aperture in its base closed by a thermo-fusible seal (3). The inner container is in the shape of a truncated cone that tapers towards its base and is open at the top, and the heat to burn the powder charge is provided by a charcoal pellet (5) with a cavity in its upper face to receive the part of the container base with the seal, while a spring (7) and plastic film disc (9) hold the pellet against the base. A second thermo-fusible seal (20) covers the top of the container.
