    An overlay for sports equipment such as skis, sticks or rackets or for housings for domestic or electrical equipment, furniture or machines includes a single-layer film based on copolyamide PA 6/12 or a multi-layer film containing PA 6/12 and is such that the PA 6/12 layer also contains a polyamide homopolymer comprising PA 6, PA 12, PA 610 and/or PA 612. An independent claim is also included for production of the overlay involving (co)extrusion at above 200[deg]C of a mixture of PA 6/12 with one or more of the specified homopolymers, followed by calendering of the film obtained.
