The table circular saw machine has a guide device (14) fixed from the fixture position on or near to the tool carrier (3) for lateral guide of the gap wedge retainer (11) during height adjustment. On the gap wedge retainer near to the tool carrier is a vertically running adjustment slot (12). Two support screws (13) arranged one above the other hold the gap wedge retainer on the housing (8), so that it can be adjusted in height. Height adjustment can be effected with e.g. a customary hand crank. The support screws together with the plate of the housing on the saw table and the adjustment slot in the gap wedge retainer therefore form a vertically directed adjustment guide. Laterally spaced from this guide is a second guide device (14), formed so that the gap wedge retainer has an edge-side guide rail (15). The second guide device has at least one guide angle (14',14'') on the saw table, in which the guide rail is laterally moved during height adjustment of the gap wedge retainer.
