Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Catalog Last Checked: September 07, 2025 at 10:52 AM | Dataset Last Updated: September 06, 2025
The invention concerns a perfumed composition with controlled release comprising: a) a perfume, and b) a complex carrier capable of being filled with said perfume, the carrier including in a mixture at least i) one first batch of particles, called porous particles having an average diameter ranging between 10 µm and 500 µm, of which 80 % of the volume is porous, and ii) a second batch of particles, called pellicular particles, having an average diameter ranging between 10 µm and 500 µm, of which only one outer layer representing not more than 20 % of the volume is porous. The particulate carrier is capable of providing a gradual and differentiated diffusion of the constituents of the odorous substance such that the whole set of fragrances is perceptible and remains detectable long after the composition has been applied. The invention also concerns a method for preparing such a composition, as well as a device for instantly preparing a composition combining a perfume with a complex particulate carrier.
