    This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from KNORR and MELVILLE in the North Atlantic Ocean and South Atlantic Ocean from 1987-11-23 to 1989-04-19. These data include CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), DELTA CARBON-14, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, Potential temperature (theta), RADIUM ISOTOPES, SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle.

    These data were collected by Taro Takahashi and William M. Smethie Jr. of Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO), Robert M. Key of Princeton University, and Michael S. McCartney and William J. Jenkins of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) as part of the SAVE_All_Legs1_6 dataset. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this dataset: SAVE Legs 1-6
