Published by data.cityofnewyork.us | City of New York | Catalog Last Checked: October 06, 2026 at 11:18 PM | Dataset Last Updated: October 06, 2026
This dataset lists each Open Data Week event and their accompanying datasets, organizers, and (as available) event recording links. Open Data Week is a annual festival celebrating NYC's public data. Each year draws thousands of New Yorkers to dozens of virtual and in-person events to celebrate NYC’s public data and its community of users in government, academia, advocacy organizations, the news media, tech companies, and any group that uses or benefits from public data. The festival was started in 2017 as a collaboration between the Mayor's Office of Data Analytics (now the Office of Data Strategy at the NYC Office of Technology and Innovation) and civic technology non-profit BetaNYC. In 2018, the Data Through Design collective started their yearly art exhibition which runs during the festival. The festival also includes BetaNYC's School of Data community conference.
