    • Nitrogen Screening Project - Total N Deposition

    This dataset includes total nitrogen (wet + dry) deposition for the contiguous United States. Oxidized and reduced forms of N are included. Data for the western U.S. is comprised of 36km resolution year 2002 CMAQ model estimates (Robin Dennis, EPA) for both wet and dry deposition. Data for the eastern U.S. is comprised of 375m resolution NADP interpolations (Grimm and Lynch 1997) for wet deposition and 12km year 2002 CMAQ model estimates for dry deposition. The wet deposition (NADP) data are calculated as a 3-year average centered on year 2002. Units are in kg/ha/yr.
