The Research and Development Survey (RANDS) is a series of cross-sectional surveys using probability-sampled commercial survey panels. Some rounds also include non-probability panels. The ninth round of RANDS (RANDS 9) was administered by NORC at the University of Chicago using the AmeriSpeak Panel. A sample also was purchased by NORC from the Lucid non-probability panel. Data were collected from November 28, 2023 to January 12, 2024. RANDS 9 contained the embedded probe questions and experiments as in previous rounds of RANDS. It included questions on race-ethnicity demographic question response order, intimate partner violence, diabetes and obesity stigma, discrimination, and learning difficulty. The AmeriSpeak part of RANDS 9 has a known survey sampling design and can be used to produce nationally and sub-nationally representative estimates.
