    Lineage This database was developed in 2006 when Dr. Barbara Keating of the University of Hawaii provided the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) with a spreadsheet listing various references (articles, books) describing tsunami deposits for archive and distribution. NGDC imported the data into a relational database and began to quality-control and improve the data. The tsunami deposits database compliments and extends the historical record.
