NCATS OpenData Portal

Published by National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Catalog Last Checked: September 28, 2026 at 08:25 PM
The NCATS OpenData Portal (ODP) is a resource designed to rapidly and openly share NCATS data. The initial datasets shared via the ODP comprised screening data and assay information. NCATS scientists developed a number of SARS-CoV-2-related assays to measure over 10,000 compounds - including over 3,000 approved drugs - for their activity against the virus. These data include all positive and negative results from a diverse panel of repurposing screens, and can be viewed, searched and exported directly from the portal website.  The resource is flexible in accommodating various types and structures of data, and it has already expanded since its launch to host additional datasets for COVID-19, viruses of pandemic potential, and beyond. The ODP has been designed as a scalable platform for real-time data sharing across discovery campaigns, regardless of disease area, with the overarching goal of accelerating discovery at NCATS, the NIH, and the greater scientific community.
