National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (NSSRN)

First conducted in 1977, NSSRN is overseen by HRSA's NCHWA. The data from the NSSRN provide the opportunity to assess trends in and make projections on the nursing workforce. Data from the NSSRN include education and training, professional nursing certifications, current and recent employment, annual income, the states in which they are licensed, and demographic information.
