Modeled Carbonate System (1998-2018)

This product was developed as part of the project supported by the grant from and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrationâs Ocean Acidification Program under award NA18OAR0170430 to the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. The data product consists of carbonate system variables for 33 tidal stations for 1998â2018 in the main stem modeled from CBP observations of temperature, salinity and pH. Modeled variables include total alkalinity, partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2), dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), carbonate ion (CO32-), and calcium carbonate saturation ratio (as aragonite).
